This project took us to the vibrant Dusshera Maidan, where we captured the essence of the Indian festival through a unique and thought-provoking lens. Our goal was to showcase the spectacle of Ravan's defeat and the subsequent peace that follows, while also exploring the intriguing question of whether Ravan's memory would persist long after his demise.

Challenges & Approach

One of the primary challenges we faced during the shoot was navigating through the massive crowd of over 3,000 people who had gathered to witness the event. To overcome this challenge and ensure that we captured the most compelling visuals, we deployed multiple team members at different locations and height levels throughout the Maidan.

Our approach focused on using long lenses to create a slow-motion aesthetic, allowing us to capture intimate and detailed shots amidst the chaos of the crowd. By strategically positioning our team members, we were able to obtain a diverse range of angles and perspectives, adding depth and richness to the final video.
